  • Chhunly Bin

Chhunly Bin is the Chairman and co-founder of Bright Futures Cambodia organization. Chhunly grew up in incredibly humble circumstances in one of Cambodia's poorest provinces with his single mother (Ny Kok), who is a survivor from Pol Pot regime to fight for his highest good for education even though they did not have a penny to afford a small package of sugar for one day’s food. Chhunly was so sad to see his mother walking back with her valuable tears pouring down her cheeks. That moment has been stuck in his heart so that he has fought for a better future for the family. He has a great heart for his country’s poor and underprivileged students living in the slum villages. Chhunly has a strong belief that he is serving God by helping them fulfill their dreams in their education journey.

  • Michele Nishioka

Michele has been an elementary educator for over twenty years.  Her heart has always been in education and ensuring that every student has an excellent education. In Spring of 2028, she went to Cambodia on a short term mission. She fell in love with Cambodia and the Khmer people.  In November 2019, Michele felt called to start Bright Futures Cambodia. Michele is excited to follow God’s calling to use her passion, skills and knowledge in education to share the gospel, provide an education and give students a bright future.
